While serving on their mission in Montana, Jack developed a brain tumor. This was a huge blow to the whole family and everyone rallied around them. Jack had surgery in Billings, Montana, then the mission president sent them home so he could recover and get great medical care. It was a true disappointment for them to have to leave their mission. Now they just take life a day at a time and hope for the best.
