Conference Breakfast - October 2020

Because of the coronavirus we felt we would be too close together having our traditional
Conference Breakfast at Julie's so Melissa and Jeff volunteered to host at their lovely, large home.
We could spread out and still enjoy one another in their huge yard or in their home.

Many from Jeff's family came and that was good.
I loved that Chase, Mason and Hayley came. All told, we had 22 there.

A quote from President Nelson. I need to start a list. I believe it will be long.

There is a promise connected with each of these so here's a start.

Jesus Christ is the light and life of the world.
I think on Him when my thoughts begin to turn to troubles. Peace returns.

Women's Conference - October 2020

My favorite speaker. She was a close friend of Julie's at
Bountiful High School and at BYU.

It was so great to watch this with Julie, Melissa, Ellie and Madi.

Third Sunday Dinner at Melissa and Jeff's

23 August 2020

With the COVID virus requiring us to distance ourselves, even from those we love so much, Julie has not been holding her Third Sunday Dinners for the family. But now Melissa and Jeff have bought a huge, beautiful home with a ton of yard space so she decided to host it because we could spread out there.

It made my heart so happy to see these family members. It was healing.
I did not realize how much I really needed it.  Family is everything.

Kari's Moving Day

 22 August 2020

Kari and Kendyall sold their home. Kari and Cherie never really liked the house, but many good memories were made here. I loved that they lived close to us in Bountiful. Now Kari and Kendyall will live in Katelyn's basement apartment of the home she and Luke just bought in Orem. They will only stay there until things settle down and they are sure of their employment, then they will probably buy a house. I, of course, hope it will be close to us, but I worry they might settle in Utah County.

Paige St. John Set Apart as a Missionary - Finally

Because of the coronavirus Paige did her MTC training online starting April 29th. Then she had to wait for an assignment in the United States as England is closed. Finally her assignment came and she could be set apart as a full-time missionary. She is so excited and she has such a sweet, strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are hopeful that at some future date she will be able to go to London to serve.

Jazz Joins Cherie in Heaven

 5 June 2020

It was a sad but necessary day when Jazzmin had to be let go. She was a wonderful dog and I shall miss her almost as much as the St. Johns. Even after she had her left hind leg amputated necessitated by an automobile accident, she did well and was a great support to her family, especially Paige. Dogs are family.
