We finally learned that Jeremy, Emily, Mason, Tanner, Olivia and Sophie Leger were our angels.

Twelve Days of Christmas
Sometimes we recognize the angels around us. As I was going through a particularly hard time due to the decline and fragility of Mom, an angel family gifted us the 12 Days of Christmas. It was so fun to find these wonderful gifts each evening after a difficult day. They so lifted my spirits and reminded me of all the good in the world.

Katelyn, Spencer and Paige Visit Mom
I was so glad the St. Johns came to visit Mom. Mom loved it.
I'm not sure she knew who they were, but she understood they were her g-grandchildren.
She also knew they loved her.

Wayne's 80th Birthday
To celebrate Wayne's 80th birthday we all went to Windows on the Square for lunch.
It was so good that Kim & Steven came up from Henderson NV, and Chantel & Dave came up from St. George UT. I love that Kari as well as Julie & Tom live here. It is great to all be together.
We all pooled our resources and printed five copies of a photo book I put together. It contains a section for each family. I probably included too many photos. It was fun to look at them at Julie & Tom's after the lunch.

Mom's on Hospice
Mom has been falling often, is very weak, cannot dress herself, cannot hear very well at all, and she is very confused. Dr. Christian's PA said she has pneumonia, is retaining fluids, has low oxygen levels, and her heart may be shutting down. It is very unlikely that she could ever get better. She is very frail. As Mom's fondest wish now is to die to be with Dad and to not "be a burden" on us, and considering her health issues, the PA had her put on hospice care. This is all hard on everyone, but all four of us feel it is for the best now. Intermountain Health Care Hospice is a blessing at this point.

Last Five Generation Photo
Mom, Julie, me, Melissa and Crew
I was glad Julie and Melissa came to our traditional Sunday Night at Mom's. We took the opportunity to take this five-generation photo and as it turned out, it was to be the last time we could do this. Mom is getting more and more frail, is falling fairly often, is extremely hard of hearing and is often confused. We are very concerned about her. She is 96 years old. It is amazing she has been able to live alone as long as she has. Shawna and I are taking turns staying with her now.

Light the World - Spencer Knows
I really loved the Instagram post of Spencer's. Nothing makes me happier than knowing my children and grandchildren understand the importance of the Savior in their lives and have a desire to serve Him and others.

Shooter at Mueller Park Jr. High School
With all the school shootings of late, it was especially terrifying when the news reported a young shooter at Mueller Park Jr. High School. Jackson Brooks and so many others we know attend there. Because the boy's parents realized their son had taken a gun, notified the authorities and went to the school, a tragedy was averted.
