Visit to St. George

On Wednesday the 29th we finally got away to St. George for a little fun in the sun.
Chantel and Dave took us to our Christmas dinner at The Cliff Restaurant.
It was elegant and delicious and beautiful and fun.

The views were spectacular and the weather was perfect.

While in SG we went to a baseball game and watched Zack pitch.  Zack and one other guy were the only good players on the whole team, so sadly they lost but it was great to see Zack play so well.

On Thursday we went to Pine Valley. Can you see the white Church across the valley?

Such a beautiful and historic church with a connection to our family. I love it.

I didn't realize that the Salt Lake Tabernacle organ pipes were made from Pine Valley trees.
My grandfather Mangum was born here in 1875.

We went with Chantel and Dave to take Juan to a Camp for diabetic youths on Friday.
It was an incredibly beautiful ride through Zion National Park and the camp was terrific.

Not too shabby for a camp cabin. Juan was able to stay in one of the very best because his counselor was a doctor, married to the Camp Director who also started these camps.

On the way back through Zions Dave spotted the sheep so we stopped to get a better look.

Our lunch in Springdale was delectable.

Our luncheon view.

On Friday sweet Ciera fixed a great dinner for us.
She is an amazing homemaker - so clean and tidy.

Don't you wish you could have some right now?

Lauren is Here

And why are you drinking my water Mitzi?

I just had to add this picture of Hayden's latest hair style.
Paige made it "lovely".

It's so great to have Lauren here.
Julie & Tom even welcomed Bonnie & Clyde and Blanche.

Lauren is so great with Lizzy, Hobie and Dax.

Four dogs and a bunch of kids and everyone's happy.

Mom's 95th Birthday Celebration

Michelle Brooks works magic with flowers.

Melissa's artwork is brilliant.

Of course Mom is always happiest when all her children are with her.
Shawna, Claudine, Karl, Dick with Mom

I didn't get photos of everyone, but here is Mom with Dick, Natasha and Cash.
Tiffany also came.

Not a lot of people have five generations together.  I love this.
Claudine (me), Julie, Melissa, Ellie, Mom, Madi

Mom and me with Julie and her girls, Lauren, Melissa and Emily.
It is so fun when they are together.

Jamie, Andrea, Monea, Michelle and Claudia
It made Mom so very happy to have them come.  Made me happy too.

Karl with Chad and Cathy

I love this collage Kim made.
Kim, Julie, Chantel; Hayley & Kim; Lyndsey, Kim, Hayley with Mom

Probably because she sees Mom more often than most, Julie has a special relationship with her.

So glad to have these guys come -- after they went to the aquarium.
Hayden, Paige, Katelyn, Kari

The Tinkers had a lot of travel problems, but so glad they arrived.
Josh, Kathy Travis, Emma, Nathan, James

Wayne enjoyed talking with Bryan and Emily.  Emily even played the piano for us.

We held the gathering at the Clubhouse at Mom's condominium.
Chantel looks great on this beautiful spring day.

I especially loved these matching pictures of Mom with Lauren and with Chantel.
Dick gives Mom a rose for every birthday - this year 95!

My funny girls re-enacting so many childhood photos.  "Smell the flowers."

Chantel Comes

Chantel had meetings in Salt Lake so she was able to see Mason and Chase.

I'm afraid her visit just made her like St. George all the more.  It would snow while she was here.

Conference Breakfast at Julie's

I love having Kim's family here.  She had an Easter egg hunt in our living room for her children then we went to Julie's for Conference Breakfast.

Such cute things.
Looks like another Easter egg hunt is in the making.

They had such a good time.  Have you ever seen more adorable girls!

Hayley and Madi are great friends.

I can't remember.  Were these for Jeff's birthday which is on the 7th?
Many from his family came to the Conference Breakfast too.  That always adds to the fun.

I was so glad to meet Luke.  Katelyn kid of likes him.
Paige, Luke, Katelyn, Hayden, Jacob

So much good food.  I love Melissa's steel-cut oatmeal.

This girl is an expert at everything.

We really like Luke Maeser.  He and Katelyn just laugh and laugh together.

It's nice to have Chase close enough to come too.  He is doing very well at the U of U.
