Thanksgiving Day at Our St. George Home

I was so happy that everyone agreed to have Thanksgiving dinner at our home in St. George. I'm especially grateful that Ciera and Seth were okay with it and that they, Chantel and Dave arranged for and set up all the tables and chairs.  It turned out great.

St. George

One of the reasons I love where our St. George home is - easy walks to see wonderful things.
It is flat and our home is close to the temple and the center of town.  Perfect for me.

I discovered this "Loving Gate" which is so interesting.

And here is Brigham Young.

The antiques store had this absolutely amazing spinning wheel and it actually works.

This was such an idyllic scene, so I changed it in Waterlogue.  So cool!

This photo of the autumn leaves turned out so well too.

Seth helped Ciera with her Periscope broadcast amid all the Christmas lights.

Nice to have Mason and Chase here from school.  Chantel fed all of us a great dinner - again.

Happy Birthday!

Jeff gave Melissa this Happy Birthday cake.

Kari posted this photo of cute Paige. She is such a lovely young lady.

And on the 24th Kari posted this picture of Cherie and Katelyn to celebrate Cherie's birthday.

Uriona Thanksgiving

I feel honored that we are still invited to the Uriona Thanksgivings.
They are always delightful and it is so good to see all of Tom's family with no date conflicts.

Having Lauren here is a special treat.  Made loves her too.

This amazing wooden marble roll was a huge hit.

I think the cranberry sauce Julie made is perfect.

Such a delightful person.

The project is finally finished.  The new tennis courts are gorgeous.
The ugly baseball diamond is taken out and a new perfect one is finished south of this big, open field.

Elder Steven J. Brough

When Elder Brough, General Young Men President, visited St. George he felt impressed to visit personally in private homes and came to Dave and Chantel's to take to these three Young Men.
What an incredible privilege for Juan, Zack and Tanner.
He encouraged them to remain faithful and to prepare to serve missions.
When he returned home he sent a marvelous letter stating his confidence in this Young Men.

I love these three boys and know they can contribute and become much more than they believe they can at the present time.  I know there is grace that enables us to do all that is asked of us by God.

Shorthand

As I was cleaning, purging and organizing my files today these items brought a smile to my face.  I'm so glad I can still read shorthand - a real asset to me in my life but totally obsolete today.

What great memories all of this bring of school days, college, and work in law offices.

Bountiful Hills Ward Relief Society Presidency

Susan Schmutz had a lovely brunch at her home to mark the end of three years of service together in the Bountiful Hills Ward Relief Society Presidency.  Susan has been an amazing President and it was such a privilege to serve as her counselor with Arlene Alvey as her other counselor.  Annette Newman and Elaine Parker have added great insight, experience and spirituality.  I will miss meeting often with each of them.

Juan Carlos Ochoa Markel is Ours

Chantel's family keeps growing.
We were all so excited that Juan has now been sealed to our family.
It's been many years coming.  We first meet him when he was a one year old.

I'm so glad Kim and Julie (and Tom) could be at the St. George Temple with us.
