This was to be Cherie's last chemo treatment so the famous bell ringing took place. She has had a lot of support through all these treatments. The medical staff, especially Maria, were so kind, compassionate and helpful. Kim has come up from Vegas for every major treatment and this meant the world to Cherie. Julie, who was there during treatment whenever she could be as she balanced her job, home and family. She and Kim were delightful in the chemo treatment room - even doing exercises during the long hours of waiting which totally entertained the medical staff and the other patients. They are a light indeed. Cherie loved it. Her children have been rocks through all this, giving support and love and much needed laughter. Chantel felt so bad that she could not come more. Wayne and I just did what we could. Even at the time of this bell ringing, Cherie told me afterwards that she did not truly believe it was all behind her. Sadly, she was right.
