Mother's Day at Melissa's

Mother's Day is an extra special holiday when you have so many happy things happen.

Kari and his children gave me this exquisite arrangement.

Jeff and Melissa invited us to their home for dinner.

Jeff did the cooking and it was deee-licious!

Melissa's new kitchen is so very nice and bigger and better than I ever thought possible.

We were glad to be able to meet Ben Peak whom Lauren has been dating.

He was very polite, respectful and outgoing. A southern gentleman.

Lauren and Madi - so cute.

Lauren's strawberry shortcake was the perfect dessert.

Of course we had to have another five-generation photo as long as we were together.

Hayden and Paige went with Kari to show their respects and love for Cherie.

When we got home from Las Vegas we found a beautiful tree planted in our front yard to replace the beautiful ash tree we had to have removed. It was a Father's & Mother's Day gift from our children and grandchildren who contributed to the cost. Jeff and Melissa came up and landscaped our garden in front, Jeff moved all those rocks by himself, and planted the tree while Melissa did what she could as she cared for Ellie & Madi. They also planted a lot of flowering plants and shrubs in the back yard. We were thrilled.

Jordan's Baptism

Jordan Tate Parker

May 3rd was a big day in Jordan's life. He was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is a marvelous thing to belong to God's true Church and Jordan has been taught well and is ready. We were so glad to be there for his important day.

Jordan was baptized by his dad, Steven.

Kim was beautiful and so proud of him.

We gave Jordan his scriptures, as we have tried to do for each of our grandchildren.

We were so happy to have Julie come down too.

I'm not sure Hayley was ready to have her picture taken.

This table display was nice for Jordan and his friend, Kynan.

The next day we were able to watch Jordan's soccer game. It is very warm, but it was fun. So many parents are devoted to their children and their game.

Steven fixed pancakes for everyone. Delicious.

Jordan is a pretty good player. It was fun to cheer for him.

Nothing better than sitting by their pool in the sunshine.

Unless it is seeing Gryffin again.

Mom's 94th Birthday

For the last several years Dick & Carole have given Mom a rose for each year of her life.

This year she received 94 beautiful roses.
